OpenStack Silicon Valley 2015

As OpenStack services evolve, it’s critical to be informed of the latest developments. Beyond basic services, advanced services such as Load-Balancing-as-a-Service (LBaaS), Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS), VPN-as-a-Service (VPNaaS), and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) are top-of-mind for many OpenStack professionals. Taking GSLB as an example - building on top of OpenStack’s Designate (DNS) and LBaaS v2 projects, members of both teams are forming a new OpenStack project to deliver global load balancing, with input currently from several major operators (HP, Rackspace, eBay), and application delivery controller (ADC) vendors (including A10 Networks). In this session, we will provide updates on core developments, trends, and progress for these advanced OpenStack services.
